Federico Pozzer

TRANSCRIPTIONS OF MY PIANO STUDENTS’ PLAYING

In this solo piano performance, composer-performer Federico Pozzer plays transcriptions of recordings of his piano students attempting to interpret famous pieces. These recordings—captured during one-to-one piano lessons—are filled with irregular rhythms, hesitations, long silences, “wrong” notes, and unexpected dynamic choices.
Federico transcribed them precisely and is going to perform them himself. The result is a tender, strange, and subtly disorienting collection of pieces that hover between recognition and distortion.
Well-known melodies emerge but altered by the fragile gestures of children in the act of learning.
This project treats error as expression and listening as a form of
care. By inviting us to hear the beauty in musical imperfection, both humorous and haunting, the performance aims to challenge what we expect from music, memory, and the so-called “correct.”

                                                          Life Aquatic Quartett

                                                       Bneleti (Ben Wheeler)

Improvising quartet:

Jošt Drašler - acoustic bass

Cene Resnik - tenor saxophone

Eric Arn - electric guitar

Vid Drašler - drums

Dieses Improvisations/Free Jazz–Quartett ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen den slowenischen Musikern, Vid Drašler – Schlagzeug (DKD-Trio, trójnik, Orchester Senza Confini, Orkestrada), Jošt Drašler – Akustikbass (DKD-Trio, Orch Senza. Confini, Jani Moder Trio, Vito marence Gruppe ..), Cene Resnik – Tenor Saxophon (Cene Resnik Quartet, trójnik, Watch for dogs–Trio, Orch.

Bneleti (ბნელეთი) is a solo project by Ben Wheeler, an experimental musician, composer, and ethnomusicologist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Performing with an electric guitar, saz, and modular synthesizer, Wheeler integrates his impressions of the music of Caucasus, particularly Azerbaijani traditional music and Georgian polyphony, with dark ambient, drone, and experimental composition, and the aesthetic of Seattle hardcore and black metal, creating a musical world that is beyond genre classifications.

His first full-length release under the moniker "Bneleti" is set to be released in February 2026 on Inverted Spectrum Records, and will be followed by a three-week tour of Central and Eastern Europe.

Ben Wheeler is the co-founder of Mountains of Tongues, a project dedicated to preserving and promoting lesser known music from the Caucasus region. He has recorded songs in languages that have rarely been caught on tape, instruments that only exist in extremely small numbers, and performances from a variety of underrepresented ethnic, religious, and linguistic minority communities throughout the region. He is also the Senior Editor of EastEast, a journal that covers culture and society in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, and the founder of the Caucasus All Frequency festival. He is an instructor on synthesizers at Creative Education Studio in Tbilisi. Besides his Bneleti project, Wheeler also published under his own name, composed music for multiple independent films, performed and written for a diverse selection of bands, and worked as a music director and composer.

Remembrances are retraced through a spatial score from a map by the artist Verena Rendtoff — the road to Berlin, a satellite place where the body arrives after a path of stairs, falls, gravel, memories of bodies.
Who is Berlin?

Throught the Piano Sonata No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111 by Ludwig van Beethoven a desire is expressed.

                                                    EMERGE (Sascha Stadlmeier)

The Rovar17
(Insect17 in English) is basically Kálmán Pongrácz's solo project, but different kinds of collaboration often occur with musicians, visual artists, performers as well as theater. The music is made by audio-audio collage technique, which rejects the traditional sound system, harmony, melody, even rhythm, and creates compositions from inconsistent and untempered sounds, noises, natural or electronic- but mostly human voices. This act has already seen more than 400 concerts and performances, and has played all across Hungary, in Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America. The method of the Rovar17 audio collage technique: - first step: Creation. We create some artificial organisms. Because we have not got pure laboratory, and we cannot groom test-tubes and instruments; the generated living beings are black-hearted. - second step: Sampling. We investigate the evil beings & make video and audio record of their behaviour. Eventually, finds are presented live to the audience.
